Date: 2011-09-05 02:16 pm (UTC)Yes, yes it has. It's been good, considering we haven't done anything particularly interesting yet. Actual school work starts tomorrow, because today is Labor Day. So far we've worked on 'back-to-school' stuff, so. However, I'm (personally) good! It's nice to have something to do, you know? Considering I do absolutely nothing over the summer, much to my dismay.
That sounds cool! Although I'm sure getting a writing degree is really strenuous. Also, your head can't be screwed that much--you make such a good conversation partner! ^______^ Exciting and fulfilling is good. To keep your head from being too unscrewed.
I'll probably do psychology and creative writing. Still, English is always a choice. I've been very interested in psych lately, and I think I'll stick to that. So I have a vague idea of what I want to do. Or a little less than vague.

Date: 2011-09-28 04:44 am (UTC)So how's school going for you?
Getting a writing degree is one of the most fulfilling and torturing things I can do, I think. It's really, really, really tiring and it sucks out all of my writing time, so I hardly write fanfiction anymore. It's like I'm writing for college classes so much, so when it comes to writing for myself I get all confused. :/
I actually sort of regret not ever taking psychology. It's really interesting, and from what I've heard, kind of theory-based though there are some practical sides to it as well. What does an English degree entail, exactly? Does it mean you'll be reading literature and analyzing them throughout your college years?

School is fine! It's actually going pretty well, compared to the horrors of last year. And, of course, compared to the horrors of getting a writing degree. I'm sorry it's so tiring! I can't imagine it. But I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end...
Sort of.
Mmm, that's why I'm looking at it. I'm really interested in the way a human works, I guess, though that sounds sort of freaky. Ahaha. An English degree seems to be along those lines. I'm still trying to find out, but the subject has always been interesting for me, along with history.
Good luck with surviving, then~

Date: 2011-10-05 02:30 pm (UTC)Ooh, I'm sure this will be worth it, too, in the end. I'm just a bit concerned about the what-ifs (i.e. what if I took something else and it turns out to be more worth it?). But eh, there's nothing I can do about it now. It's nice to hear that school's going on well for you! Is it better in terms of workload? Friends? Or something else?
No, it doesn't sound freaky at all, actually! Hahaha. And history sounds amazing, as well. I've always been interested in it though I've never really pursued it. Are you interested in a particular era?

Date: 2011-10-05 02:39 pm (UTC)Yeah, I guess there are always doubts. But, you know, concentrating on the good things is sometimes hard. Especially with something so frustrating. My school is going well because of friends, I think. Last year was really awful for just about everyone - in terms of drama - so having more people I like to hang out with is really great. The work isn't really hard, but I'm not speaking for everyone.
Well, that's good. I wouldn't want to creep you out. Mhm, I adore history. I'm very much into the humanities, as you might've noticed. I'm mostly interested in World History in general, but the Ancient civilizations such as Greece and Egypt are probably my favorite out of everything. Only if I have to choose.

Date: 2011-10-07 04:22 am (UTC)Oh, don't you worry. World History sounds amazing. Have you ever thought of doing archaeology?

Date: 2011-10-07 09:48 pm (UTC)World History is amazing. Ahaha. I have thought a little about archaeology but because I'm not incredibly hands on - more like theory and writing - I don't know how much I'd enjoy it.

Date: 2011-10-10 12:55 pm (UTC)I'm actually reading World History for Dummies now! Hahaha. I've been meaning to for years but I haven't gotten the chance until this little convo with you pushed me to actually borrow it from the library.

Date: 2011-10-23 04:43 pm (UTC)That's awesome~ I just find history really interesting. I'm glad I inspired you. :p

Date: 2011-11-09 01:32 pm (UTC)And it really is interesting! I've been putting it on hold because of this sea of assignments I had to... swim through, but it's all done now.
How are you? :D

Date: 2011-12-09 05:54 pm (UTC)Oh, that's great. I hope you can write some more, I know it always calms me down. I also know that I plan a lot of writing too and get almost nothing done.
I'm alright, thankyouverymuch. I'm not less busy though. Quite the opposite, actually. I have a giant test tomorrow (it's a Saturday, too!) as well as a singing audition as well as applications as well as 4/5 ongoing projects! Oh, the joy~ But I'm still pretty happy with things.

Date: 2011-12-11 02:33 am (UTC)OMG, good luck with that test. It's already Sunday now where I live, so I hope you did well. Do you have school on Saturday? :o Also, I didn't know that you sing! I'm so jealous. I'm not musical though I play some instruments, but my singing is just totally off-key. XD Good luck with those projects, too. I'm glad you don't seem like you're being weighed down by all these different things. ♥

Date: 2011-12-24 10:35 pm (UTC)Well actually, I was sick so I couldn't do anything. Which was incredibly unfortunate. But yes, I do sing. And I've been told I'm amazing at it. So. I can't play instruments, though, much to my dismay. (Also no, it was an entrance exam. Thankfully I don't have school on Saturdays.)
The projects went fine, since I'm replying after I've handed them all in. Most of them got 100s, too. /gloats

Date: 2011-12-26 11:33 am (UTC)*bows* So we've established that you're amazing at singing, and now we know that you're totally awesome at projects, too. I'm happy for you! ♥ Do you sing for choirs or solo, normally?
no subject
Date: 2011-12-26 01:10 pm (UTC)Pshh, I'm not that good at things. You make me sound so smart! I sing in my school chorus, but honestly I prefer solo. Not like I take vocal lessons or something. I just sing more to myself.
no subject
Date: 2011-12-26 04:47 pm (UTC)I see. I used to sing in the choir, but that was when I was 12 or something. It didn't last because we got another teacher and he was very... annoying, so a lot of us left and it kind of fell apart after that. :) That's good, though. It seems like you enjoy it quite a bit!
no subject
Date: 2011-12-26 08:55 pm (UTC)Yeah, our choir teacher is really mean but we stick around because we're devoted to singing. It's sort of a nice bonding thing for us.
