I can relate to that writer epistemology, and I feel your pain. As for this pairing, I have a friend who ships them. Apparently, its called a 'socioship' though I don't really know why. I don't really know much about the pokemon fandom though I've played the games and I've watched the series lol. I just know that there are characters like blue, red, leaf, etc. that are based off of the teeny weeny people you play in the game.

I used to think that KHR has really weird ship names, but Pokemon is even weirder... maybe because they have so many ships and I see no connection between some and their names. D:

I've only played the games and read the manga, but apparently some characters in, say, the manga are completely different from how they are characterized in the anime - thus resulting in different ship names, as well. It's really confusing. @_@ Which games did you play?

as in the numbers for khr shipping? the numbers are so secret-agent-man so it fits mafia pretty well. When I first heard of it, I jumped on that band-wagon, since it seemed the norm too.

But Pokemon is another world for me. I've always been a fan, but fandom doesn't make sense to me and I'm pretty detached from it... I've never thought of it as much of a fandom, since its such a childhood thing too. Never wanted to make it something deep, and never never thought of writing about it.

But I am interested in gio x sabrina since they are such clear cut characters compared to some of the others. Like bill. WHO IS BILL? he sits behind his computer all day and maybe sometimes goes fishing. How can you write a story about that? I don't know, haha.

When I was 8, I got yellow :) I played it with my neighbors who had red and blue and we would trade and battle and stuff.

Then I got sapphire and leaf green and then my neighbor gave me his old crystal version since i skipped that gen. After that, I got Pearl... soul silver... and I bought Black in Germany, so I have that in German, haha~ It was such a special moment for me lol. Everything is in germany and I need my language dictionary to play it properly X3

I'm most familiar with the games, and only the first gen of the anime. when will ash grow uppp?

Yeah! Haha. At first I was really confused, but then I got used to it. I never think of it that way but now that you mentioned it, you're right - it really fits the mafia pretty well.

I only recently started reading Pokemon fanfiction. It was actually the fanarts that got me in first, especially because there's a lot of pretty ones and I'm just a sucker for those. XD I understand how you feel, though. They've got so many characters that it's really hard sometimes distinguishing one from another... but many of them are pretty well-characterized. I'm not too sure about Bill, but he's often shipped with Daisy. And the Pokemon Adventures manga does expand a little bit on his character, so I guess that's where they draw his character from.

I loved Yellow! It's the one where Pikachu trails behind you all the time, isn't it? Haha. I'm playing White at the moment along with FireRed and Ruby (on the emulators). Have you finished Black?

The anime... I only watched the movies and several episodes. I don't like Ash very much and, yes, I think it's about time for him to grow up. It's been like, what, ten years? And he hasn't aged an inch! At the very least get him a change of clothes or something. D:

Yellow was fantastic because you got all the starter pokemon, and each came with their own little story! I wish they would revive that in the future versions of the game.

I love emulators. I downloaded two in spanish to practice. Pokemon games, you can just play them over and over. I'm not very far in black. I have to go slow at it because I'm translating all the text in the game, so it isnt so relaxing, though its still really cool. I just have to figure out whats going on lolol.

Yes! I agree. It seems like it'll be really helpful to learn new languages, though. Especially if you have the game in two languages that you can (almost literally) translate everything just like that.

Charmander was abandoned by its owner. Squirtle, the owner couldnt take care fo it anymore. Bulbasaur was left at a daycare center and no one came to pick it up. [s]lol, but who would really toss away one of the starters?[/s]

OH I SEE. I remembered that the rival got Eevee, but then not much else. I agree. This might just be my bias but I think this gen has one of the best starter lines across all games...

Nothing can beat the originial. It had the best starters, but also, the most well-characterized gym leaders (each was so special) and and and not can beat the original.

I think it has the best pokemon, too. I love the graphics in Black/White and I think the storyline is pretty great, but it just fades in comparison. I still can't believe that we have a mutant vanilla ice cream as a pokemon! D:

hahaha, They're running out of animals now to base pokemon after. They're are now countless mice, cow, cat, dog etc pokemon now. I haven't gotten far into black/white its the german, but that just sounds like the way pokemon is coming.

What I really want? A game that combines... oh, 4 regions from the first 4 gens. In it, you are chasing team rocket around the world. Every time you 'beat your game' in one region, something happens and all your pokemon are lost and you have to start over from scratch in the next region. Then, at the last stage, all your pokemon are returned to you from all the regions you tavelled through. It would be super big and super epic. People play these games over and over again, so I don't see whats wrong with reusing pokemon and regions, but just changing the plot.

Yes, that they are. You should encounter it sometime around the fifth gym; I can't remember exactly. It's kind of ridiculous, to be honest. I find it hard to take it seriously. D:

That's an interesting idea! Imagine how many pokemon you can catch. What I'd also really like to see are trainers with higher levels nearing the end. I think the league's pretty much the highest and it's always around 60-70ish at most; at least on the first try. o_o Wouldn't it be exciting to have something even stronger than the Pokemon League that you can only go to after you travel through all four regions? XD Hmm, I guess the plot in Black/White is more complicated than the others, though. Plus, I really love the graphics. *___*
